Spring Break Travel Health and Safety Tips

Are you making plans to hit the road for Spring Break? Keep in mind some important tips to help you be safe and return to campus recharged and ready for the rest of the semester. Have a great and safe Spring Break!

Registration for fall semester courses begins today. Check your registration date and time by clicking View Registration Status on MyUTK. Registration and deadline information is available at One Stop. Take a look at the timetable of classes and consult your advisor if you have specific questions.

Library Announces Winning Artworks

Student artists Vera Aldridge, Sterling Goller-Brown, and Mallory Wade Cowan received cash prizes for their entries to the Student Art in the Library juried exhibition. Works by nineteen student artists are on display in 135 Hodges Library.

Campus Leadership and Service Scholarships

Several scholarships are available to juniors and seniors for campus leadership and campus and community service. Applications are due by March 28.

Volunteer for the Fifth Annual Paper Purge Party

UT Recycling will visit offices around campus through Friday to collect unwanted bulk paper for RecycleMania. Go behind the scenes in a variety of buildings around campus and interact with faculty and staff who work in a variety of offices.

Graduate Student Town Hall Meeting

Join the Graduate School Senate for their annual town hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Guest speakers will include vice chancellors Vincent Carilli, Chris Cimino, and Rickey Hall, as well as Dean Carolyn Hodges and Chief of Police Troy Lane.

Beardsley Farms Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed from 9:00 a.m. to noon March 22 to help with general gardening and farm maintenance. This includes pulling up dead plants, turning compost, prepping vegetable beds for planting, and helping prepare for the annual seed swap.

Christina Prell, assistant professor in the department of Sociology and Maryland Population Research Center at the University of Maryland will share research findings on environmental and energy issues. 


Ninth Annual Rico Stache Bash

Saturday, 8:30 p.m., Barley's Taproom
The Rico Stache Bash is a mustache and beard competition that benifits the Small Animal Oncology Department at the UT Vet Hospital. There will also be a silent auction and a chance to win trivia prizes, followed by a performance from Brendon James Wright and the Wrongs. The event is free to attend as a spectator and $5 to compete.
