Fitz and The Tantrums To Headline Volapalooza

The countdown to Volapalooza, a UT tradition for more than ten years, has begun. Local band The Dirty Guv'nahs performed for a crowd at Vol Night Long, before making a special lineup announcement. Fitz and The Tantrums with The Dirty Guv'nahs and The Delta Saints will perform on April 25.


Cultural Attractions Committee Presents $5 Stomp! Performances

Stomp! is coming to the Tennessee Theatre this week for three electrifying performances using matchboxes, brooms, garbage cans, and more to fill the stage with rhythm. Shows take place at 8:00 p.m. Friday and 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. Saturday. Purchase $5 student tickets here.

We are getting a lot of questions about changes in the Transit section of the UT App. You may have noticed when opening it, you are prompted to download the TransLoc's Rider app. We are working on a simpler solution, but until that time, we recommend you download the TransLoc App.

Second Annual CEO Elevator Pitch Competition

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization will hold its second annual CEO Elevator Pitch Competition on March 12. The competition is an opportunity to pitch a business idea to a panel of judges within ninety seconds. The prize is a free trip to the CEO National Conference in Orlando. Applications are due Wednesday. 


Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement

Students are invited to showcase their creative achievement during the eighteenth annual Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement. Students can compete in a poster presentation and art exhibition for cash awards on April 15 and 16. 


Fifth Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium

The fifth annual Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 12 serves as a showcase for the best of UT's undergraduate research. Applications are due Friday. 


Graduate Students

UT Research Foundation Commercialization Analyst Internship Program

The UT Research Foundation is looking for graduate students interested in assisting with the evaluation, marketing and licensing of cutting-edge technology developed at UT. There are up to four paid internships available. Applications due Wednesday.

Join the Fun at the Habitat for Humanity Mud Run

The Mud Run, set for April 13, will be a fun and challenging race that supports the work of Habitat for Humanity. Organizers are also seeking volunteers, send an e-mail to sign up. Tickets are $20. Register before March 15 to receive a free t-shirt.

Join the conversation at Diversity Dialogues, a series of discussions led by faculty, staff, or a facilitator or panel that discusses critical topics of race, culture, gender, stereotypes, multiple identities, diversity, and multiculturalism.


Japanese Culture Night

Join us for the last Culture Night of the academic year. Entertainment for the evening will include dancing, a musical performance, and a martial arts demonstration. Delicious authentic Japanese dishes will also be shared.
