Please join Dominican University GSLIS for a series of
four free webinars this spring, "Cutting Edge Ideas for Public Libraries." Please share this opportunity with your public library students and colleagues! Attendees can jump-start innovation at the library and convene fellow staff to participate as a group brainstorming each idea to adapt to any library's needs.
See, hear, and ask questions of the innovators themselves in this provocative series:
- "Reorganizing Reference for Maximum Community Impact"
presented by Jason Kuhl, executive director of the Arlington Heights
Memorial Library in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Thurs. 3/27/14, 10-11
a.m. CST.
- "A Nature Classroom at the Library for Early Childhood Development" presented
by Erin Francoeur, director of the Finney County Public Library in
Garden City, Kansas. Thurs. 4/10/14, 10:00-11:00 a.m. CST.
- "Chasing (and Catching) New Public Library Patrons"
presented by Jamie LaRue, former director of the Douglas County
Libraries in Castle Rock, Colorado. Thurs. 4/24/14, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
CST.
- "Partnering for Community Economic Development" presented

State University and Michael Beck, adult services coordinator at the
Scottsdale Public Library in Scottsdale, Arizona. Thurs. 5/8/14,
10:00-11:00 a.m. CST.
All series webinars are free to attend, but registration is required.
Webinars will take place from 10:00-11:00 a.m. CST in Blackboard Collaborate. System requirements may be found here. Approximately one week ahead of time, the link to participate will be emailed to registrants. Please be sure to test your system requirements ahead of time, and log in early on the day of the event to allow time to troubleshoot if necessary.
We look forward to "seeing" you online this spring!
