Dear Geographers:

 

Please allow me to thank everyone involved in making the Geography Research Symposium (“Mapping Outside the Lines”) such a great success on Feb. 21 and 22.  It was a team effort that involved students (graduate and undergraduate), staff, and faculty.  In particular, join me in thanking and praising the Symposium Organizing Committee and the extraordinary efforts of Matt Kerr and Melanie Barron.

 

I heard positive comments about the Symposium throughout the weekend from presenters, the public, campus administration, and our departmental Advisory Board.  The Advisory Board thoroughly enjoyed meeting our students, listening to Dr. Moseley (our keynote speaker), and reconnecting with the campus community.
