FYI regarding the Undergraduate Research Symposium. ________________________________ The 5th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium is being held on April 12th, and applications are currently being accepted at http://ugresearch.utk.edu/activities/2014-undergraduate-research-symposium/ All that is required for the application is a little information about the student and a short abstract detailing the work to be presented. Application deadline is currently set as March 7th. The Symposium will feature a full day of presentations, including a catered lunch and keynote speaker. Presenters should plan to present for 15 minutes, allotting appropriate amounts of time for questions, as desired. A detailed itinerary of the day’s events will be released once all applications are submitted. The Symposium offers an opportunity for students to gain experience presenting their work, and also serves as a showcase of the best of UT with respect to undergraduate research. Last year there were 60 presenters and over 100 audience members, and we hope to continue to improve upon the size of the event.
