UT Science Forum: Stories from the Secret City

Ray Smith, Y-12 National Security Complex historian, will share stories from the Secret City. The talk will provide an overview of early Oak Ridge history, including the Y-12 National Security Complex and some Oak Ridge National Laboratory history. 


The Whipping Man

A wounded Jewish Confederate soldier returns to his home in Richmond only to find it ruined and abandoned – except for two former slaves, also raised in the Jewish faith. As the three men celebrate Passover, they uncover a tangle of secrets and grapple with an uncertain future brought on by the end of the Civil War.

East Tennessee Chinese New Year Festival

Sunday, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Alumni Memorial Building
Celebrate the Chinese New Year with a variety show full of Chinese dancing, music, singing, and martial arts. Special guest and professional acrobat Jui Wei will perform.
