Friday, Noon, Thompson-Boling Arena Room C-D Ray Smith, Y-12 National Security Complex historian, will share stories from the Secret City. The talk will provide an overview of early Oak Ridge history, including the Y-12 National Security Complex and some Oak Ridge National Laboratory history.
Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Carousel Theatre, $5 A wounded Jewish Confederate soldier returns to his home in Richmond only to find it ruined and abandoned – except for two former slaves, also raised in the Jewish faith. As the three men celebrate Passover, they uncover a tangle of secrets and grapple with an uncertain future brought on by the end of the Civil War.
Tuesday, 4:30 p.m., Black Cultural Center Learn how to set goals and better utilize your time at the first Vol Success Seminar of the semester. This series of workshops equips students with the knowledge and resources to succeed in and out of the classroom.
Tuesday, 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thompson-Boling Arena Don't miss this opportunity to connect with more than 170 potential employers at one time. The fair brings corporate employers, government agencies, and nonprofits who are seeking students and alumni for jobs and internships. The event is for all majors and degree levels.
Sunday, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Alumni Memorial Building Celebrate the Chinese New Year with a variety show full of Chinese dancing, music, singing, and martial arts. Special guest and professional acrobat Jui Wei will perform. All events are free unless otherwise noted.
