Dr. Arun Majumdar, Vice President of Energy, Google, will present a live webcast from ORNL to the Toyota Room of the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy on Monday, January 27, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. UT faculty, staff, and students
are invited to attend the live webcast and to participate via the web. The presentation title is: Energy and the Industrial Revolution: Past, Present, and Future”.
Dr. Majumdar is the vice president of energy at Google, overseeing the organization’s energy initiatives and broader energy strategy. His research focuses on the science and engineering of nanoscale materials and devices as well as large
engineered systems. Prior to his position at Google, he served as the founding director of the US Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, created to spur the development of transformational energy technology.
Dr. Majumdar is the second speaker of the Eugene P. Wigner Distinguished Lecture Series in Science, Technology, and Policy sponsored by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
