Use this link to access the online application: http://www.orau.org/ornl/postdocs/ornl-pd-pm/description.aspx?JobId=14507 . -Kitty Research Project Description Post-Master Research Associate in Environmental or Informational Science Oak Ridge National Laboratory Oak Ridge, TN ORNL14-07-ESD Project Description: The Energy-Water Resource Systems Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is investigating multiple aspects of hydropower for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Wind and Water Power Technology Office. Our research activities analyze the role of hydropower in the nation’s energy system, and identify and quantify significant trends and R&D opportunities. We’re looking for a Post-Master’s-level investigator to help with this project. This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the ground level of some major interdisciplinary research initiatives centered on the nation’s original and largest source of renewable energy. The successful candidate for this position will work collaboratively with a team of engineers, economists, hydrologists, and environmental scientists. The chief task will be that of reviewing Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Hydropower License documents and populating a structured database with environmentally related data. Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a recent (within the past five years) Master’s degree in Environmental Science or Information Science (or a related field), and must have a detail-oriented work focus.
