Your Input Is Needed for UT's Quality Enhancement Plan

Your help is needed as UT develops our new Quality Enhancement Plan, which helps us become a better university by focusing on an issue critical to improving your learning. 

This week, you'll receive an e-mail survey about five potential topics, so please take a moment to respond. Feedback forums for students start tomorrow. Learn more about the survey and the student open forum discussion schedule. 


Pat Summitt Plaza Dedication This Friday

UT welcomes fans of legendary Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt to the dedication of a plaza in her honor at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the corner of Lake Loudoun Boulevard and Phillip Fulmer Way. 

Phillip Fulmer Way will close at 9:00 a.m. Friday between the Andy Holt Tower administrative parking garage entrance to the intersection with Lake Loudoun Boulevard. At 10:30 a.m., Lake Loudoun Boulevard will close from Neyland Drive to Volunteer Boulevard.

Tennessee Speech and Debate Society Wins Big at Tournament

Congratulations to UT's debate team, which placed first overall, first in individual debate sweepstakes, and second in team debate sweepstakes at the Pejaver Memorial Tournament earlier this month.

Chris Thomas-King placed fourth in varsity, while Emalie McMahon placed first and Jeff White placed third in novice. Robert Hinton placed best speaker overall.

Help UT Beat Kentucky during Battle of the Orange and Blue

It's time to prove how strong the Vol spirit is during the twenty-sixth annual Battle of the Orange and Blue blood drive. You can donate blood from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today through Friday in UC Rooms 223 and 225. The football game will take place on November 30 at Kentucky.


Vote for the Clarence Brown Theatre to Win a BroadwayWorld Award

UT's Clarence Brown Theatre has been nominated for a BroadwayWorld Award! Cast your vote for the theatre now through December 31, 2013. Winners will be announced in early January.

For the Kids UTK Hosts Annual Fundraiser

For the Kids UTK raises funds for East Tennessee Children's Hospital and the hospital's families impacted by childhood cancer and blood disorders.

Year-round fundraising culminates with an overnight event in April, where participants stay in constant movement all night to honor patients who have to stay up all night to receive treatments. Register now to start fundraising!

Kindred Health Volunteers Needed

If you enjoy meeting and spending time with the elderly, volunteers are needed to call BINGO for residents of Kindred Health and Rehabilitation Northhaven on Friday afternoons. Please sign up no later than forty-eight hours in advance.

Sponsored by the Multicultural Mentoring Program, the Healthy Living workshop will provide helpful advice on how to relieve stress in a healthy manner, establish a fitness routine, and use well-being resources on campus.


Graduate Business Programs Fair

The College of Business Administration will host its Graduate Business Programs Fair this Wednesday. Students can speak with administrators and current students from the program about the curriculum, the application and admissions process, financial aid, and career opportunities. 


Startup Day 2013

Thursday, 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., The Standard, 416 W. Jackson Avenue
A showcase of the next generation of entrepreneurs and local artistic talent in Knoxville, this event will feature five-minute rapid-fire pitches by the CEOs of sixteen new startup companies and live music.
