Pat Summitt Plaza Dedication This FridayUT welcomes fans of legendary Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt to the dedication of a plaza in her honor at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the corner of Lake Loudoun Boulevard and Phillip Fulmer Way. Phillip Fulmer Way will close at 9:00 a.m. Friday between the Andy Holt Tower administrative parking garage entrance to the intersection with Lake Loudoun Boulevard. At 10:30 a.m., Lake Loudoun Boulevard will close from Neyland Drive to Volunteer Boulevard. Congrats!Tennessee Speech and Debate Society Wins Big at TournamentCongratulations to UT's debate team, which placed first overall, first in individual debate sweepstakes, and second in team debate sweepstakes at the Pejaver Memorial Tournament earlier this month. Chris Thomas-King placed fourth in varsity, while Emalie McMahon placed first and Jeff White placed third in novice. Robert Hinton placed best speaker overall. RemindersHelp UT Beat Kentucky during Battle of the Orange and BlueIt's time to prove how strong the Vol spirit is during the twenty-sixth annual Battle of the Orange and Blue blood drive. You can donate blood from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today through Friday in UC Rooms 223 and 225. The football game will take place on November 30 at Kentucky. Vote for the Clarence Brown Theatre to Win a BroadwayWorld AwardUT's Clarence Brown Theatre has been nominated for a BroadwayWorld Award! Cast your vote for the theatre now through December 31, 2013. InvolvedFor the Kids UTK Hosts Annual FundraiserFor the Kids UTK raises funds for East Tennessee Children's Hospital and the hospital's families impacted by childhood cancer and blood disorders. Year-round fundraising culminates with an overnight event in April, where participants stay in constant movement all night to honor patients who have to stay up all night to receive treatments.
