Located a short train ride from New York City and Silicon Alley, the
Department of Information Systems, in the College of Computing Sciences, at
the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) seeks applications for 2
faculty positions in Human Centered Computing, and Big Data.

*Human Centered Computing:* The candidate must have or be near the
completion of a PhD in business, computing, informatics, or a related field
with a focus on Human-Centered Computing; related industry experience is a
plus. We seek candidates with a proven track record in interdisciplinary
research in Human Centered Computing (HCC). We encourage applications from
any area of HCC including but not limited to: Social Computing, Digital
Everyware/Ubicomp, CSCW, Assistive Technologies and Usable Privacy and
Security. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in UXD,
UX-Research and the building and testing of innovative interactive systems,

*Big Data:* The candidate should have a PhD in computing, informatics,
energy systems, business or a related analytical field; related industry
experience is desirable. We seek candidates with areas of expertise in, but
not limited to: pattern recognition, machine learning, natural language
processing, and high-performance computing for integration, analysis,
visualization, and stream processing of very large amounts of structured,
semi-structured, or unstructured data from disparate sources and
potentially of heterogeneous formats. Relevance to energy systems is
preferred. However, big data analytics in social media and healthcare will
