Homecoming: Cirque Du Rocky Top 2013

Sunday, Nov 3.

1:30 p.m.- 4 p.m. Anything Goes (Relay Race)

This will begin at Circle Park run down Peyton Manning Pass and down around the stadium.

3:00 p.m. Homecoming banners will be dropped at Neyland Stadium

5:30-7 p.m. The tryouts for ‘Smokey’s Howl’ will be in Thompson Boling Arena.

Monday, Nov. 4

3:00-4:30p.m. The Soapbox Derby. The race will take place along Volunteer Boulevard by the Stokely Athletic Center.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

6-10 p.m.  3-on-3 basketball tournament. This will take place in the HPER Bubble located across from Humes Hall, consisting of a championship game.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

7-1op.m. The preliminary competition of Smokey’s Howl will be in Thompson Boling Arena.

Thursday, Nov. 7

7:00 p.m. The final rounds of Smokey’s Howl will take place in Thompson Boling Arena during the halftime of the basketball game.

Friday, Nov. 8

4:00 p.m. Homecoming Parade on Volunteer BLVD in front of the Torchbearer.

Saturday, Nov. 9

At the football halftime, trophies will be presented to the organizations with the most points for each event. After these presentations, the overall winner for the week will be announced. Also to be announced are the Homecoming Highnesses picked from the Top 10 Homecoming Court.

Cultural Attractions Committee

CAC does not have any events this week.

Film Committee

The Film Committee will be screening The Princess Bride TONIGHT at 8pm in the University Center Auditorium!

Free for all.

A classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing (as read by a kindly grandfather).

Starring: Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, and Robin Wright.

Issues Committee

Issues Committee does not have any events this week.

Visual Arts Committee

The VAC presents an Art Talk featuring Christian Siriano this coming Tuesday, November 5th at 7pm in the UC Auditorium. The first 50 people in line will receive a FREE autographed poster from Christian so get there early!!

Christian Siriano, American fashion designer and winner of Project Runway season 4 will be giving a public lecture on November 5th.  Christian will be showing pieces from his Spring/Summer 2014 collection and answering audience questions. Doors will open at 6:30, seats will be available on a first come first served basis.

The VAC is also having another Art Talk on Thursday, November 7th at 7:30 featuring Wayne White in the UC Auditorium.

Wayne White is an American artist, art director, illustrator, puppeteer, and much, much more. Born and raised in Chattanooga, Wayne has used his memories of the South to create inspired works for film, television, and the fine art world.

Women's Coordinating Council
