Okay, we've changed the location of our Fall Picnic to Fort Loudoun State Historic Park because of the Federal Government shut-down and its effect on the Smokies' picnic areas. Hope to see you there! Best, Matthew ETLA Fall Picnic Invitation: The East Tennessee Library Association happily invites you to join us for a tour and picnic on Sunday, October 27 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Loudoun State Historic Park on Tellico Lake in Vonore, Tennessee. Built in 1756, this 1,200-acre site is the location of one of the earliest British fortifications on the western frontier. As well as the reconstructed Fort Loudoun that is open to visitors, there are three hiking trails, picnic areas, as well as a museum & visitor center that is free and open to the public daily.
