Following the premiere of
their new production in London in February 2013, Argentina’s acclaimed
tango company, Tango Fire, returns to North America in in the fall of
2013. Tango Fire takes the audience on a journey through tango - tracing
its roots from the Barrio’s of Buenos Aires city into Cabaret before
moving through the decades to showcase tango’s growing popularity as a
contemporary dance form. The Tango Fire company features Argentina’s new
generation of tango dancers, including five recent world tango champions,
in a sensational program choreographed by Argentina’s hottest young
choreographer German Cornejo,. The company’s 10 dancers are accompanied
on stage by four of Argentina’s most brilliant young musicians, Quarteto
Fuego led by the sultry violin virtuosa Estefani Corsini.
