On September 28, 2013, twelve people travelled with the Martial Arts club to participate in the semi-annual Ippon open judo tournament in Peachtree City, Georgia. The club provided seven of the eight referees in attendance. We had a total of eight competitors enter the tournament. Competition efforts resulted in 1 first place, 1 second place, and 3 third place finishes. The judo team will be back on the tatami in competition this weekend. We will be travelling to Waynesville to compete in the annual Fall Brawl classic.
