Members' preview sale - Friday, Sept. 13, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for all UT employees, Gardens volunteers and Friends of the Gardens members. Friends receive a 10 percent discount on their purchases.

The plant sales are our best opportunity to share our love and knowledge of plants with you. Our horticulture staff will be on site with a dedicated group of Tennessee Master Gardener volunteers ready to answer your questions and help you choose the right plant for your landscape.

Plant sales are the Gardens' largest fundraiser, and proceeds go to support the UT Gardens. The sale will be held at the UT Gardens on the agricultural campus in Knoxville, located on Neyland Drive adjacent to the UT Veterinary Medical Center.

Dwarf Blueberry - Vaccinium angustifolium x corymbosum 'Top Hat'





'Top Hat' is a dwarf blueberry that only grows 24 inches tall and wide. Perfect for containers or small courtyard gardens!

Pink Beautyberry- Callicarpa americana 'Welches Pink'

Dwarf bald cypress - Taxodium distichum 'Peve Minaret'





'Peve Minaret' is a dwarf cultivar that grows slowly in a dense, pyramidal form to 6 feet tall by 2 to 3 feet wide over the first 10 years.

Long-blooming summer coneflower - Echinacea purpurea 'Red Knee High'

Noted for its long summer to fall bloom of intensely colored coneflowers featuring showy magenta red rays drooping from prominent copper-orange to bronze center cones. These flowers bloom abundantly atop compact, knee-high stems, rising to only 18 inches tall. Needs full sun and well-drained soil.

Black leaf crapemyrtle - Lagerstroemia x 'Coral Magic'



'Coral Magic' has beautiful salmon-pink flowers that cover the plant in early summer. This crapemyrtle keeps its rounded shape with glossy reddish new growth foliage. The leaves turn dark green through the summer.

Narrow fringetree - Chionanthus retusus 'Tokyo Tower'



'Tokyo Tower' becomes covered with white panicles in May and June. This Chinese fringetree is a shiny, narrow-leaved form with beautiful tan and gold exfoliating bark.

Mildew-resistant Dogwoods - Appalachian Series

The Appalachian series of dogwoods was developed by Mark Windham and others at the University of Tennessee. The series offers powdery mildew and dogwood anthracnose resistance among the different selections.
