The deadline to submit presentation proposals for the Library 2.013 Worldwide Virtual Conference is Monday, September 30, 2013. This is a great opportunity to share your expertise, case studies, and research with information professionals from around the world. Your proposal can be a simple paragraph explaining what you plan to talk about. Your actual presentation doesn’t have to be finalized until the conference starts on October 18, 2013.
This year’s conference features eight subject strands. Everyone is invited to submit a presentation proposal. If you have any doctoral students, please encourage them to submit a presentation proposal for one of our new strands, as follows:
Doctoral Student Research
Overview:
· Present your research in a non-threatening environment and get feedback from professionals who might be interested in implementing your research.
· Add online presentation experience to your resume –most LIS programs are looking for faculty who can present online.
The Library 2.013 Worldwide Virtual Conference is an open, online, participatory conference about the future of libraries in the 21st century. The conference is free to attend and will be held in multiple languages and time zones over the dates of October 18-19, 2013. The conference is co-founded by the nationally ranked San Jose State University School of Library and Information Science.
