Dear Club Geographers:

 

One final reminder.

 

Today (Thursday), we will hold our Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony in place of our usual colloquium series.  This is a special departmental event, a chance for us to recognize the individual excellence of two members of our family (Eddie Bright and Ruth Shirey) as well as celebrate the proud legacy of UTK Geography.

 

Please note the location and schedule for this event.  The celebration begins at 3:30pm with a reception in the Mary Greer Room (room 258) at the Hodges Library.  The Greer room is near the second floor entrance to the library.  After the reception, we move to the Library Auditorium (101) for the awarding of plaques and to hear some reflections from our award winners.  The award portion of the event begins at 4:00pm.

 

This is a community-wide event and everyone—undergrad student, grad student, faculty, and alum alike—are invited!  I would be honored to have you attend.
