Job Description:

Serve as Librarian Reference and Information Technologies for a research collection in the Center for Popular Music at Middle Tennessee State University that contains over one million archive items, including over 100,000 pieces of sheet music, 200,000 sound recordings, over 20,000 books, photographs, posters, trade catalogs, and related materials. Provide reference assistance to onsite and remote patrons. Responsible to maintain the Center for Popular Music's website and social media. Oversee all aspects of the Center's Reading Room Collections, including selection and acquisition of books, media, periodicals, and clipping files. Teach bibliographic and subject specific modules in selected MTSU courses; supervise student assistant(s) and or interns; assist with the general operations of the Center and perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
American Library Association accredited Master's degree required and two years of progressively responsible experience in library or archive work.

Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of progressively responsible work experience in a music library or music archive preferred to include prior teaching experience.
