The Master Gardeners of Roane County
are conducting a Workshop on Preservation of the Harvest and Cool Season
Gardening Workshop. This is the 3rd workshop in our series with
the theme of Sustainable and Edible Landscapes. Included in this workshop will be
sessions on a variety of topics and will include food preservation principles
and techniques, preventing insects from overwintering in your garden and other
key cool season gardening topics followed by hands on demonstration of food
preservation techniques. All participants will receive valuable reference
materials and preserved items made during the workshop. The event will be held
on Saturday August 24th in Roane County. Lunch will be served. There will be a
nominal fee for workshop participation. Space is limited so pre-registration is
