NEWS FEEDKick-Off School Year with New Buses, Big PrizesIt's a new school year and twenty new buses are serving students on six routes throughout campus and the Fort Sanders neighborhood. The biodiesel buses offer USB charging stations, bike racks, and riders can track bus locations through the UT mobile app. Look out for the Prize Ride T Bus on the Hill Route and Neyland Express this Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Ride the bus, answer a trivia question correctly, and win a prize! Check Student@Tennessee this Thursday for an online-only T Bus trivia contest for your chance to win big prizes, including $500 book loan towards textbooks at VolShop, a Google Nexus 7 tablet, concert tickets, or pregame sideline passes to a UT football game. Two New Buildings Open; Construction Continues Two new academic facilities will be open to students this week—the John D. Tickle Engineering Building and the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center. It also won’t be long before games are being played at the RecSports Complex on Sutherland Avenue. A few ongoing large and small projects are impacting campus foot and car travel. Read more about these campus projects here. Texts and Social Media Keep You Informed, Help Safety Just in time for classes, UTPD has launched efforts to enhance safety and keep you more informed. A new tool includes an anonymous tip service, Tip411, that allows you to text message an anonymous tip to police. UTPD is also sharing safety tips and information about campus crime through Facebook and Twitter.
