Our lab is offering real-time PCR for diagnostic or research
applications on a fee-for-service and collaborative basis. We also can
provide: 1) conventional PCR and sequencing (MCP, Pol and NF) for
preliminary characterization of positive samples (e.g. FV3-like vs
ATV-like); 2) PCR from ethanol or formalin-fixed paraffin embedded
tissues (FFPE); and 3) Histopathology to support outbreak investigations
or characterization of tissue changes associated with experimental
infections.

Details on submissions for qPCR can be found online at:

Hi Ann,

That is something that the GRC was planning on offering. Perhaps we can
use this opportunity to push up our due-date.

Would those offering diagnostic services email me a list of what you
can offer and the terms. For instance, my lab can perform quantitative
real time PCR and isolate and titer live ranaviruses, but we generally
only do small numbers of samples or collaborate with others on larger
projects; we are not a fee-for-service operation. I have a web page with
instructions for submission here:
http://public.wsu.edu/~jesse.brunner/samples.html

I'm sure there are others and it would be very useful to put together a
list. We will add a page with this information on the GRC website once
we revise it.

I am looking for a current list of all of the laboratories offering
diagnostic testing for ranavirus for inclusion in the Infectious Disease
Manual of the American Association of Zoo Vets. I’ve looked around the
GRC website, and am not finding this resource. Anyone know of such a
list?
