Dr. Handelsman, from our Global Studies program, relayed the attached info to me regarding national scholarships and fellowships, most of which entail studying abroad. When compared with peer institutions, UT has a relatively low application rate for such awards, so the university is encouraging students to explore these opportunities. 

Plus (and borrowing from Martha Stewart), funded international travel is a good thing...
