The University of Kentucky (UK) School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) is pleased to welcome the Division of Instructional Communication and Research.  The Division focuses on vertical integration of communication skills in instructional settings (education and training).  It delivers cutting-edge instruction for all undergraduate students in integrated communication skills (oral, written, visual, and digital, along with information literacy) together with the Division of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Media in the College of Arts and Sciences as part of the university’s general education curriculum.  Faculty members in the Division maintain research agendas focusing on instructional communication in traditional classroom settings, the online environment, and beyond the university through its outreach initiatives.  For more information, see
