CALL FOR PROPOSALS – ALISE 2014

International Library Education SIG

The International Library Education SIG invites individual paper proposals or panel proposals on the theme of library education in international settings or international issues in library education pertaining to any setting.  Last year’s SIG panel, for example, featured papers on “Librarians Without Borders: International Service Learning Opportunities for LIS Students,” “The Roles of Professional Organizations in School Library Education:  Case Studies from around the World,” and “LIS Education in New Zealand and Australia:  Observations and Reflections.” The proposal should be in line with the overall conference theme of “Educational Entrepreneurship.”  Members or nonmembers of the international library education SIG are welcome to submit ideas.  Those papers chosen will be forwarded as the international library education SIG-sponsored panel proposal for this year.  If interested, please submit your name, title of paper, and 150-word abstract by July 5 to SIG convener Rhonda Clark, [log in to unmask]
