*Call for Nominations: 2014 ALISE Award for Teaching Excellence in the Field of Library and Information Science Education* Nominations are now being accepted through August 9, 2013 for the 2014 ALISE Award for Teaching Excellence in the Field of Library and Information Science Education. The winner will receive a complimentary registration to the January 2014 ALISE Annual Conference. Criteria for selection include: * Evidence of regular and sustained excellence in teaching library and information science (40 pts) * Contributions to curriculum design that demonstrate subject expertise and the ability to integrate new developments in library and information science (20 pts) * Evidence of mentoring students, alumni, and/or practicing professionals outside the classroom (20 pts) * Use of effective and innovative teaching methods (20 pts) Nominations should include: * A nomination letter describing the ways in which the nominee fulfills the criteria above * Appropriate supporting documentation e.g., letters of support that address the criteria listed above; evidence that demonstrates how the nominee meets or exceeds those criteria, such as a CV and/or a description of the nominee’s relevant activities and contributions. The Committee may solicit more information if necessary.
