Greetings all,
I wish to call your attention to the difference between the words
"append" and "attach" in the e-mail context.
I admit that the Oxford Dictionary is not helping me out here, because
it considers the two words synonyms.
In the context of jESSE, these are very different words.
"Append" means "to stick on at the end of this message, with more text
in the body of an e-mail. The latter being the basic format of a jESSE
msg so that everyone can read it. jESSE msgs are intended to be read
around the world, as text, conveying content and not fancy graphics, no
matter what software, mobile device, or whatever, the user is using.
"Attached" means that there is some kind of file, included via your
e-mail client in probably a special field of your e-mail client, that has
a specially defined group of users that use that software (could be a
.doc, (I'm not sure about .pdfs), an .rtf, or whatever. DON'T send it to
jESSE. I won't send it along.
You are more than free to use graphics, video, voice stuff, motion
stuff, whatever on your web page. Just send us the URL, and I'll send it
along for those who want to access it.
Remember: the mission of this list is to reach the world, and not those
users who use OS ABQWCT or app LTWER or mobile TGGHY or whatever.
    Just a gentle reminder.
Thanks for your cooperation, and let's keep this an open list.
