Geographers:

Please join me in congratulating Dr. van Riemsdijk and Grace Levin, a geography minor, for being highlighted in Quest Magazine and other recent campus news. The piece speaks loudly to the great work that Micheline does with our students in facilitating their development as scholars and the broader commitment of the Department of Geography to the undergrad research experience. Thanks for representing us so well, Micheline and Grace.

Best wishes,

Derek

Each year thousands of bright and talented students arrive on campus with immeasurable promise, but they are sometimes a little unclear about where to devote their creative energy. For many upperclassmen, an undergraduate research experience helps them discover and define their passion. Grace Levin is a shining example. As an "undecided" sophomore, Levin participated in an undergraduate research experience which helped define her academic career.
