The Wayne State University School of Library and Information Science is seeking adjuncts for the following
online teaching assignments for Fall 2013:
- Software Productivity Tools: This course is intended to advance the student’s skill with leading-edge
productivity tools using various software productivity techniques and
tools. LIS students will be employed by organizations competing in the Information Age which is characterized by rapid change, voluminous data, and complex dynamics. The present day librarian teaches community access courses on various applications and utilizes these application tools to improve the efficiency of library operations. Librarians are also required to train and assist their colleagues.
- Competitive Intelligence: Use of multidimensional databases, competitive intelligence and
visualization software, data mining tools, as well as access to
disparate information sources to support and provide a structure for
fact-based decision making.
