Grants
Hillary Richardson received a grant to attend the North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) conference in Buffalo, NY, June 6-9.

Lynndy Hurdle was awarded a $1,000 grant from YALSA/Dollar General Literacy Foundation for a summer reading program at Strayhorn High School Library, Sarah, Miss.

SLIS students Phillip Carter, Preston Salisbury, Cole Smith, and Callie Wiygul were awarded a grant from Southern Miss Student Archivists for registration and travel to the Preservation of Books and Archival Materials workshop in Jackson, MS, January 31.

Awards

Brianna Barnard, who graduated in December with MLIS and is working toward a Graduate Certificate in Archives and Special Collections is one of 5 finalists in Society of American Archivists, “I Found It in the Archives” contest.  Read her incredible entry at: http://www2.archivists.org/node/17281
