National Park Service Western Archeological and Conservation Center in

Hillary Richardson received a grant to attend the North American Serials
Interest Group (NASIG) conference in Buffalo, NY, June 6-9.

Lynndy Hurdle was awarded a $1,000 grant from YALSA/Dollar General Literacy
Foundation for a summer reading program at Strayhorn High School Library,
Sarah, Miss.

SLIS students Phillip Carter, Preston Salisbury, Cole Smith, and Callie
Wiygul were awarded a grant from Southern Miss Student Archivists for
registration and travel to the Preservation of Books and Archival Materials
workshop in Jackson, MS, January 31.

Awards*
Brianna Barnard, who graduated in December with MLIS and is working toward
a Graduate Certificate in Archives and Special Collections is one of 5
finalists in Society of American Archivists, “I Found It in the Archives”
