Communities matter @ your library

Next week, Drexel University’s The iSchool, College of Information Science & Technology joins libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating National Library Week, a time to highlight the value of libraries, librarians and library workers. This year’s NLW theme, announced by the American Library Association, is titled “Communities matter @ your library.”

In celebration of NLW and Drexel’s library community, the iSchool is hosting the following events:

A National Library Week Book Drive and Wine Social For iSchool Graduate Students & Alumni

To celebrate National Bookmobile Day as part of National Library Week, the iSchool's Alumni Association (ISTA) is sponsoring a book drive and wine social for grad students, alumni, professional staff and faculty.

Bring a new or gently used book to donate to the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Book Corner, and mingle with classmates and ISTA Board members!

Hors d’oeuvres and other refreshments will also be provided.

If so, this workshop is for you.  SharePoint is an important industry tool that provides intranet content and knowledge management.  This workshop will be led by Nicole Snyder, Director of Library Services at Novack Druce Connolly Bove & Quigg LLP, who uses SharePoint as a legal librarian.  You don't want to miss this workshop!
