Drexel’s iSchool Celebrates National Library Week – April 14-20, 2013 Events for all our students, alumni and friends. Communities matter @ your library Next week, Drexel University’s The iSchool, College of Information Science & Technology joins libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating National Library Week, a time to highlight the value of libraries, librarians and library workers. This year’s NLW theme, announced by the American Library Association, is titled “Communities matter @ your library.” In celebration of NLW and Drexel’s library community, the iSchool is hosting the following events: Tuesday, April 16, 2013 – National Library Workers Day iSchool #NLWDLove Contest Do you work in a library? Wednesday, April 17, 2013 – National Bookmobile Day A National Library Week Book Drive and Wine Social For iSchool Graduate Students & Alumni Wednesday, April 17, 2012 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Rush Building Room 014 (Basement) To celebrate National Bookmobile Day as part of National Library Week, the iSchool's Alumni Association (ISTA) is sponsoring a book drive and wine social for grad students, alumni, professional staff and faculty. Bring a new or gently used book to donate to the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Book Corner, and mingle with classmates and ISTA Board members! Hors d’oeuvres and other refreshments will also be provided.
