Dear SIS students,
A part-time job in library outreach is available at the UT Hodges Library starting at the end of July, maybe sooner. The position is hourly and offers 10 hours per week through the 2013-2014 academic year. The position entails helping plan and implement library instruction sessions for visiting high school groups, first-year studies classes, and other orientations. The position may also include event programming, creating displays, assisting with the Library Diversity Committee, etc. as needed.
Qualified candidates must be savvy in social and instructional technologies, able to work independently, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be highly organized and detail-oriented. Candidates must be fast learners and have experience in or be willing to learn technologies such as LibGuides, InDesign, etc.
