The University of Ottawa’s School of Information Studies is delighted to announce that Adjunct Professor Dr. Thomas J. Delsey has been selected as a recipient of the 2013 Faculty of Arts Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Delsey brings a wealth of experience gained as editor of RDA and AACR and as Director General at the National Library of Canada (now Library and Archives Canada). He teaches courses in resource description, cataloguing, metadata and taxonomies, and the organization of information, where he is much appreciated by students and colleagues.

The Faculty of Arts has 18 academic units and over 500 full- and part-time professors, and among these, Dr. Delsey stands out for his contributions to improving the student experience – both inside and outside the classroom.

Congratulations, Tom, on a very well-deserved award!
