The Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) announces the new editor of /the Journal of Education for Library and Information Sciences (JELIS)/. Dr. Peta Wellstead from Open Polytechnic of New Zealand/Kuratini Tuwhera, School of Information Science and Technology will first take on the position of editor-designate for the remainder of 2013. She moves into the position of editor beginning with the 2014 /JELIS/ volume 55. The ALISE Board of Directors selected the new editor in January 2013. Dr. Wellstead's investigation of recent changes in scholarly communications and open access publishing was one of the strengths that led the board its decision. They felt her research would allow for a smooth transition of /JELIS /to an online format.
