Reports
to:
Director

Services
Supervisory
Responsibility:
Working
with
the Director
of
Public
Services,
supervises
employees,
volunteers,
and community
service
workers,
as assigned.
Position
Summary:
Responsible
for
overseeing
the
day-to-day
operations
of the
department,
including
supervising
staff,
programming,
and
collection
development.
Participates
on the
Management
Team
and works
closely
with
the Director
of Public
Services
to provide
input
on
operations
including
policies
and procedures,
budget,
staff,
facility,
and programming
needs.
Physical
Requirements:
The
physical
requirements
are
typical
of an
office
environment
and include
sitting,
standing,
bending,
walking,
reaching, pushing/pulling
carts
weighing
over
100 lbs.,
lifting
items
weighing
up to
25 lbs.
and looking
at a
computer
screen
for long periods.
Minimum
Qualifications:
1.
ALA
accredited
MLS
degree,
with
at least
two
(2) years’
library
experience;
or Bachelor’s
degree
with
at least
six (6)
years’
progressively
responsible
library
service.
2.
Successful
management
and
supervisory
experience
in
a library
required.
3.
A valid
driver’s
license.
