Hi, Fellow SIS Alumni,

Are you interested in mentoring a sharp, hardworking UT SIS student? What’s involved?  Touching base with the student, introducing yourself, and answering any questions that the student might have.

You might have questions for the student as well. Mentoring is a great way to catch up on what’s new in library and information sciences.

The UT Student ALA/TLA Chapter has queried their members for those seeking professional mentors. 9 students are interested in finding mentors. He or she may be in your area or in another city or state.

Here is the survey that Amy Dye-Reeves, President of the student chapter, has created for the mentors to fill out: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/G3273B9

After we hear from you, we will match students and mentors according to mutual interests.

Questions?  You may contact me or another member of the UT SIS Alumni Society Board http://www.sis.utk.edu/alumni; Amy Dye-Reeves or another officer of the UT Student ALA/TLA Chapter http://www.sis.utk.edu/organizations/alatla. Also involved are Andy Madson, Matt Jordan, and Lisa Travis, officers of the East Tennessee Library Association http://www.lib.utk.edu/~etla/

Thanks,
