THE ENVIRONMENT IN AMERICA'S EDEN" Thursday, February 14 at 5:00 pm in the Shiloh Room of the UC Both PDF and Word versions of the poster for his talk are attached. Also, Pellow will give a talk at the Department of Sociology colloquium: "The Ultimate Freedom Movement': The Limits and Possibilities of Radical Ecological Politics" Friday February 15 at noon in 1210 McClung Professor Pellow, who completed his B.A. in sociology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1992, studies the intersections between social inequality and environmental conflict. This includes a focus on transnational environmental justice movements and global policy frameworks concerning sustainability. He is currently working on a study of radical environmental and animal rights movements and their experiences with state repression. He is Don A.
