This position would be best suited for someone with at least one year of tech experience interested in the organization of digital records using the newest technology available, and working in a fast paced AGILE work environment.

This position will work with an AGILE SCRUM software development team to test all functional areas of our software development products.

 

Ensuring that the customized software application meets specifications includes:

•             Exhaustive testing of entire application

•             Explicit testing of all specialized functions per customers’ specifications

•             Recommending to the Product Owner changes to the application that might better reflect the conceptual intentions of the client

•             Maintaining a high degree of responsiveness to rapidly changing user specifications throughout the process

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

•             Carries out testing procedures to ensure that products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements in an applications development environment

•             Tests new applications or modified features of the application to ensure programs are developed correctly and function according to user requirements

•             Support responsibilities include execution and development of test scripts for new and/or modified software applications and software development procedures and standards

•             Recognize that testing is a mission-critical activity throughout the software development lifecycle

•             Perform Root Cause Analysis on defect; work with development and product owners with respect to software testing, defect reporting and verification of resolved problems

•             Documents and works to resolve basic problems

•             Report progress on problem resolution to management and their teams

•             Majority of time is spent following test scripts, assisting in the testing of software to ensure proper operation and discover defects before customer use

•             Run tests within defined parameters

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education

•             High school diploma or GED required

Experience

•             Employees entering this job typically have one year of directly related experience.

Knowledge/Skills

•             Knowledge of MLS systems desired

•             Previous experience in software problem solving and diagnostic troubleshooting desired

•             Good verbal and written communication skills

•             Basic knowledge of software testing concepts

•             Analytical and problem solving skills

•             Detailed, methodical, and patient
