Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I report that a dear colleague passed away on January 10. Dr. Kay Bishop, who served on the faculties of The University at Buffalo, the University of South Florida, the University of Kentucky, Murray State University and the University of Southern Mississippi as well as served as a school librarian in Florida, will be greatly missed in the school library community. Kay was a kind and caring mentor of students and published extensively in the field. Her book, The Collection Program in Schools, is a classic used as text in many programs.

Kay's children, Jenny, Lara, and Jim, are planning a celebration of life/memorial service to be held on Anna Maria Island , FL, within the next few months.

It was Kay's wish that, in lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor be given to one of the following organizations:

Florida Hospital HospiceCare
301 Memorial Medical Parkway
Daytona Beach, FL 32117
Please specify on an enclosed note: Donation for the nurses station unit: supplies and equipment for nurses' use. In memory of Genevieve "Kay" Bishop.

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation
