For those attending ALISE '13 in Seattle, the Historical Perspectives SIG has an exciting panel that includes Drs. Charles Seavey, Jean Preer, and Sharon McQueen. Our panelists will discuss some important topics concerning the practice, theory, and relevance of historical methodology in library and information science. Specifically:

Dr. Seavey will speak to what it means to do historical research and will take a close look at the considerations involved.

Dr. Preer will address the question: what is historical inquiry and how is it relevant?

Dr. McQueen will discuss the communication and presentation of historical research.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, January 24 at 1:30pm. More information can be found at http://alisehistsig.wordpress.com/2012/11/17/historical-sig-program-at-alise-2013/
