Hey Sue B! We have sign-in sheets that have the race/ethnicity and gender categories so that each attendee can identify themselves by checking the appropriate boxes. We have language on the sheets that the information is being collected for federal/state reporting purposes and is voluntary. Although it is voluntary, we have our staff strongly encourage participates to identify themselves, but again it is optional. Hope this helps. If you need additional information, just let me know.
