Only one more day until early registration ends for this year's iConference in Fort Worth Feb 12 - 15!  Hurry, hurry and take advantage of the many exciting events including free workshops on Tuesday Feb 12.

We would like to point out an especially unique and exciting preconference workshop -- please read on!

iConf 2013

Digital Youth Workshop: Calling all Designers, Researchers and Policy Makers

The digital youth workshop at iConference 2013 is the first in a three-event sequence. It will bring together a diverse initial community that will further comprise a steering group to help plan the second event, a Digital Youth Summit 2014 (in Seattle) that will be sponsored and attract participants from industry, government, non-profits, education, and media. The third event will return to the iConference 2015 for reporting out.

The organizing team from Michigan, Maryland, and UW would like to see as wide a representation as possible in the workshop. We especially invite faculty members and doctoral students from the same school to attend together. Although sponsored by iSchools, anyone interested in any aspect of contemporary youth is welcome. So if you’re interested and have not already signed up,  please take advantage of early bird registration (and invite other faculty and/or doctoral students to do so also) and sign up for this February 12 half-day workshop (FREE) when you register for iConference 2013. (Or of course sign up later if you cannot make it by tomorrow).

We’d also like to keep track of who is attending, so if you would, please contact University of Washington graduate assistant, Elizabeth Mills [log in to unmask]

to let us know who from your School or Department will be attending – and also if you have further questions.

Date: 8am-12pm, February 12, within the larger iConference that runs from February 12-15.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
