Summer Program, Second Session

Students may choose from four different tracks to earn six (6) credits:
TRACK 1: Latin American Anthropology (taught in English):
ANTH/LAMS 313, Peoples and Cultures of Mesoamerica (3 credits) and
ANTH 325, Migration and Transnationalism (3 credits)
(Note: Courses can be taken for graduate credit under ANTH 500, or undergraduates who already have taken 313 or 325 can enroll for either of these courses under ANTH 323, since courses will focus on Costa Rica.)
TRACK 2: Language and Hispanic Culture (taught in Spanish):
SPANISH 223 [211 and 212 combined] (6 credits)
TRACK 3: Advanced Language and Latin American Culture (taught in Spanish):
SPANISH 461, Special Topics: Textual Analysis in Latin American Literature [valid for SPANISH 330] (3 credits) and
SPANISH 491/591, Literary and Artistic Movements in the Latin American World (3) [Open to both undergraduate and graduate students]
TRACK 4: Latin American Studies
Choose one course on Latin American Anthropology [313 or 325] (taught in English), and one in Latin American Literature [461or 491/591 (taught in Spanish) to earn 6 credits total.
