Newsletter for UT Knoxville Students

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Special

--- UT will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23. No classes will be held and most administrative offices will be closed. For the full academic calendar, visit http://registrar.tennessee.edu/academic_calendar/.

--- Big Orange Big Ideas --- Ashley Blamey, director of the UT Safety, Environment, and Education Center, and members of the UT Task Force in Support of Student Veterans had a big idea that will help student veterans find each other at UT: a small "T" pin emblazoned with the stars and stripes. The pins aren't for widespread distribution; they are for student veterans.

--- Big Orange Big Ideas --- Do you have a Big Idea to share? Now is your chance! The Office of Communications and Marketing will be filming "What's Your Big Idea" videos from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, in the television studio in Communications Building Room 91.

Participants are asked to share their ideas in two ways -- first, tell us about your idea in about a minute for a video that will appear on the university's homepage at www.utk.edu; and then tell us about your idea in about twenty seconds for a video that could appear on the jumbotron during the Vols' home basketball games.

For examples of past videos, visit UT's YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLED287651958F110F.
