The Universities of Gothenburg and Borås, have been awarded a grant of 12 million Swedish kroner ($1.8 million) by the Swedish Research Council to investigate the production, distribution and use of e-books in Sweden. As a so-called "small language" area, Sweden has particular issues in relation to e-books that may not be present, or felt so strongly, in countries belonging to larger language groups.  The project is led by Professor Lars Höglund at the University of Gothenburg and Professor Elena Maceviciute at the University of Borås.

We are interested to make contact with other research groups investigating any aspect of the e-book phenomenon, with a view to creating a discussion list on the topic and exchanging information on the progress of the research.
