Job Announcement
Title: Senior Library Assistant II Pay Grade 36
Duties: Located in our Knoxville office. The primary function of this position is to provide everyday administrative support to the research and information center including assisting with periodicals maintenance, circulation/collection
maintenance, database content maintenance, website maintenance, and publication distribution, as needed.
Secondarily, this position will support the agency’s research and publishing initiatives through searching for information, survey calling and support, information inquiries, supervision of a student assistant, and working with consultants
and others on projects as needed.
Supervision: Assisting others by providing guidance --- provides guidance and recommendations to one part-time student position.
Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a related area. 3 years of experience with the management of electronic resources and access tools. Prefer familiarity with local government. Requires
excellent interpersonal (written and oral) skills with a strong customer service orientation. Must have extensive computer software experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
