Field Day Pre-registration is Closing Soon
The 2012 UT Turf & Ornamental Field Day will be held September 13th, 2012
at the
East Tennessee Research and Education Center in Knoxville, TN. One of the largest and fastest growing field day events in the United States, our event features current research on managing weed, disease, and insect pests of warm- and cool-season turfgrasses,
as well as strategies for maximizing the quality of athletic field playing surfaces.

What's New in 2012?
- By popular demand, the program has been expanded to feature three breakout sessions on managing ornamental plants in landscape settings. Information on weed, disease, and insect pests will be presented in addition to content on plant growth regulators and
electronic tools for managing pest activity. A full copy of the entire Field Day program can be accessed

- Live demonstrations on overseeding bermudagrass athletic fields and mowing practices for creeping bentgrass putting greens.
- An interactive quiz where attendees will be asked to identify mistakes made in managing turfgrass and ornamental plantings.
- Discounted pre-registration rates for businesses registering multiple employees. Additional employees of a single business can be registered at a 50% discount!
- A lunchtime raffle sponsored by the
Tennessee Turfgrass Association featuring great prizes including,
the new iPad.
Numerous Continuing Education Credits Will Be Available
- Tennessee attendees will earn 5 pesticide re-certification credits in categories C3, C10, C12.
- A total of 2 pesticide re-certification credits in category C6 have also been added to the program for Tennessee attendees.
- A total of 0.45 Continuing Education Points will be available for members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA)
- North Carolina attendees will receive 4.5 pesticide re-certification credits in categories, L, N, D, and X.
- International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) continuing education credits may also be available.
Pre-registration Closes August 30th!
The pre-registration deadline for the 2012 UT Turf & Ornamental Field Day is coming soon! We encourage everyone to
pre-register before the August 30th, 2012 deadline in order to take advantage of reduced fees and guarantee themselves lunch and a copy of the proceedings booklet.
- Pre-register
online with a credit card.
- Return the hard copy pre-registration form via US Mail. A copy of that form can be accessed
here.
- On-site registration will also be available on the day of the event. Note that on-site registration costs are higher than pre-registration.
