Torch Night, 7 p.m. in Thompson-Boling Arena. A tradition since 1925, it's a don't-miss event. 

Night in Neyland, 8 p.m. in Neyland Stadium. Get a sneak peek inside the stadium, hear from the coaching staff and take an official class picture.

Video Dance Party, 9:30 p.m. in Presidential Courtyard, featuring a DJ and two giant video screens.

--- Peyton Manning Pass is getting a spirited facelift, just in time for the new academic year. The campus road is being painted to look like UT's Shields–Watkins football field.

--- If you have visited the Hodges Library lately, it will come as no surprise that the much-anticipated renovations to the Commons will not be completed by the beginning of the fall semester. UT Libraries apologizes for the inconvenience, but promises it will be worth the wait! Get more information about where things are and stay tuned for updates at: library.utk.edu/news/.

--- The UT Farmers Market offers students fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, and many other local and specialty items from over 20 vendors, conveniently located at the UT Gardens on the Ag Campus off of Neyland Drive. Weekly on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m.

--- Graduate students are invited to the UT Libraries' Open House, 1:00 - 2:30 pm Friday, Aug. 24, in the Hodges Library first-floor galleria. --- The Office of Research offers no-cost workshops and online courses in grant writing, proposal development, and compliance. For more information contact [log in to unmask] or visit http://research.utk.edu/training.

--- Educational Mentors are needed to support students in the FUTURE program on the UT campus. FUTURE is a two-year, post-secondary education opportunity for young adults aged 18-29 with intellectual disabilities. Mentors are asked to work 2 hours or more a week directly with students. Knoxville Connection

--- Girls on the Run is in need of coaches for the fall semester. Girls on the Run is an after-school program for girls grades 3-8, with a 10-week lesson plan for educating them and preparing them for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. A training session for coaches and a CPR training session are scheduled for 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 29.
