*Position Title: Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology (2
positions)
*

*Position Description:*

The Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology positions require
teaching, service, and research responsibilities as well as a terminal
degree. Teaching  and research responsibilities involve teaching online
graduate and undergraduate courses, advising graduating students,
conducting and publishing scholarly research, and providing service to
Georgia Southern University and to the profession. The positions are
9-month, tenure-track appointments. Salaries are competitive and
commensurate with qualifications and experience.

*Qualifications:*

   - · Earned doctorate in Instructional Technology, or related area, by
   August 1, 2013;
   - · Knowledge of current hardware and software applications;
   - · Ability to teach graduate courses, teach online, and offer graduate
   advisement;
   - · Ability to conduct scholarly research and publish in appropriate
   venues;
   - · Ability to perform service to the University and profession;
   - · Effective communication skills;
   - · Ability to work with diverse student populations;
   - · Ability to use and model technology

*Preferred Qualifications*:

   - · School library media experience;
   - · K-12 teaching experience;
   - · Higher education teaching experience;
   - · Experience with teaching interactive distance learning systems;
   - · Research interest related to online learning
