Position Title: Assistant Director for Academic Affairs


Job Description: Nine-Month appointment, tenured position (Associate or Full Professor) with responsibilities for administration, teaching, advising, maintenance of personal research program, participation in professional activities, and serving on university committees. Additional stipend for summer work.
 
Teaching and research responsibilities will require expertise in one or more areas of the curriculum, e.g.,: management, systems analysis, knowledge management, information technology, information resources and services, knowledge organization, information policy, or health informatics. Candidates should be prepared to teach in the graduate level core, and may also be expected to teach undergraduate courses in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) program. Opportunities exist to work with doctoral students in the College.
 
Administrative duties include direct responsibility for School matters involving faculty, such as planning the schedule of courses and the curriculum, as well as ex officio status on certain School committees, and other administrative duties as required by the School.
 
Qualifications: Requires an earned doctorate in library and information science or a related area. Strong academic training and research in relevant areas of interest to College faculty and students. Appointment with tenure requires a strong record of teaching and research.
